Racing Harnesses for Supercars and Performance Cars
A racing harness replaces the standard three point belt with a multi point system that holds the pelvis and shoulders against the seat. Its job is to keep the driver located during hard driving and, in an accident, to spread the load into the strongest parts of the body while stopping the driver sliding down or forward under the lap belt. Track day drivers run them with a proper seat for control, and competition drivers run them because the rules require a belt built to a recognised standard. Every homologated harness carries an FIA or SFI label with a date on it, and that date is checked at scrutineering. We supply racing harnesses for supercars and performance cars and deliver across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide.
What This Collection Covers
- Four point harnesses: two shoulder and two lap straps, common on fast road and track day cars.
- Five and six point harnesses: with one or two anti submarine straps, the usual requirement for circuit competition.
- Two inch and three inch shoulder straps: narrower shoulder straps are normally specified where a frontal head restraint is worn, and wider straps where one is not.
- Buckle and release types: cam lock and latch style buckles, with left or right hand release depending on the installation.
- Adjuster styles: pull up and pull down lap adjusters, and shoulder adjusters positioned for the seat you are using.
- Mounting hardware: eye bolts, snap hooks, bolt-in ends, wrap around straps and mounting plates.
- Harness bars and anchor points: bars, brackets and floor plates that put the belt anchors where the geometry needs them.
- Pads, covers and spares: shoulder pads, sub strap pads and replacement hardware.
Why It Matters
A harness only performs as designed if the geometry is right. Shoulder straps that run upwards from the shoulders can compress the spine in an impact, lap straps mounted too far forward let the pelvis slide, and a missing or slack anti submarine strap allows exactly the movement the system is meant to prevent. Anchor point positions and angles are specified in the technical regulations for good engineering reasons, so the installation matters as much as the belt.
Dates matter too. FIA and SFI harnesses are homologated for a limited period from manufacture and the expiry is printed or stitched on the label. Webbing also degrades with ultraviolet light, heat, sweat and chemicals, all of which a car in this region sees plenty of, so a belt that is still in date but visibly faded, frayed or contaminated should be replaced. Recertification rules differ between standards, so check what applies to yours.
How to Choose the Right Racing Harness
Decide first whether you need a homologated belt at all. Fast road and some track day use can run a non-homologated four point harness, but any competition licence event will specify a standard, usually a current FIA or SFI specification, along with the number of points required. Check your series regulations for the accepted standard, the required number of mounting points and the dates from which older standards stop being accepted, and check that the belt you are ordering still has useful life left on its label.
Then match the belt to the seat and the car. The seat's shoulder slot height and sub strap openings determine the strap width and the routing, the anchor points determine whether you need snap hooks, bolt-in ends or wrap around straps, and whether you run a frontal head restraint determines the shoulder strap width. Tell us the car, the year and the exact variant, the seat you are using and the series you run in. WhatsApp us on +971 50 308 5760 or send us an inquiry and we will confirm the right configuration. We check the standard and the date on every homologated harness before it ships, and we will never tell you an item is eligible for your series, because only your rulebook and scrutineer can say that.
Shipping and Availability
We deliver racing harnesses across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide. Popular configurations are often in ready stock and the rest are sourced to order in your chosen colour and hardware type, with the lead time confirmed before payment. Because harnesses are dated, we prefer to supply them fresh rather than from long standing shelf stock, and we will tell you the date on the label before you commit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this harness work in my car?
It depends on the seat and the anchor points as much as the car. Send us the car, the year and the exact variant, tell us which seat is fitted and whether there is a cage or a harness bar, and we will confirm the strap widths, hardware and lengths you need.
Do you ship harnesses to India and worldwide?
Yes. We deliver across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide, and confirm shipping cost and transit time before payment.
Are harnesses stocked or ordered in?
Both. Common colours and configurations are usually held, and specific colour, buckle and hardware combinations are sourced to order with the lead time confirmed first.
How long is a racing harness valid for?
Homologated harnesses carry a standard and an expiry on the label, and the period differs between standards. Check your series regulations and the current homologation date on the belt before ordering. Replace any belt with cut, frayed, faded or chemically contaminated webbing regardless of the date.
You do not list the harness I need.
Ask us for it. send us an inquiry with the number of points, the strap width, the hardware type and the car it is for, and we will source it and confirm price and lead time.
Cannot find the harness or anchor hardware you are looking for here? We can source almost any racing harness part for your car. WhatsApp us on +971 50 308 5760 or send us an inquiry with the part and the car it is for, and we will come back with a price and a lead time.
