Intercoms

Intercoms and Race Communication for Supercars and Performance Cars

An intercom lets the people in the car talk to each other, and a radio lets the car talk to the pit wall. Inside a helmet, with an engine behind you and wind noise everywhere, normal speech is useless, so a wired intercom with helmet mounted microphones and speakers is the only practical way for a driver and co-driver to work together. Rally crews depend on it for pace notes, circuit teams use car to pit radio for strategy and flags, and instructors use it on track days. This equipment is not homologated in the way a seat or a harness is, but how it is installed in the helmet and the car still has to satisfy scrutineering, and radio frequencies are licensed differently in every country. We supply intercom and communication equipment for supercars and performance cars and deliver across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide.

What This Collection Covers

  • Intercom amplifiers: driver to co-driver units with volume, squelch and noise gate control, in single and multi user versions.
  • Helmet kits and headsets: wiring looms for full face and open face helmets, with boom or noise cancelling microphones and helmet speakers.
  • Push to talk switches and cabling: wheel and dash mounted buttons, coiled leads, extensions and connector kits.
  • Two way radios: car to pit sets, handheld units for the crew and the base station side of the link.
  • Antennas and mounts: roof and boot mounted antennas, bases, cable and earth plates.
  • Ear protection and earpieces: moulded and universal earpieces, filtered earplugs and speaker inserts.
  • Power supplies and wiring: fused power leads, adapters and mounting brackets.
  • Spares and service parts: replacement microphones, microphone covers, leads and connectors.

Why It Matters

Clear communication is a safety item, not a convenience. A co-driver whose pace notes are not heard is worse than no co-driver, and a driver who misses a call about a car stopped over a blind crest loses the only warning they were going to get. On circuit, radio is how you learn about a yellow flag, a change in conditions or a problem the driver cannot see, and how the team gets a car back to the pits calmly rather than in a hurry.

The practical difference between a poor setup and a good one is almost all in the details: microphone placement relative to the mouth, speaker position over the ears, noise cancelling quality, earthing and cable routing away from ignition noise. A cheap installation in an expensive helmet sounds worse than a good installation in a modest one.

How to Choose the Right Intercom

Start with how many people need to talk and whether the link has to leave the car. A driver and co-driver on a rally stage need a two person amplifier and two helmet kits. A circuit team needs the same plus a radio, an antenna and pit side equipment. Track day instruction usually needs the simplest possible two way wired system that can be moved between cars in minutes. Also check your regulations, because some organisers require a working car to pit radio and some restrict antenna mounting.

Then check the helmets. Helmet kits are sized and shaped for the shell and for whether the helmet is full face or open face, and drilling or modifying a helmet shell to fit communication equipment can invalidate its homologation, so use kits designed to be fitted without altering the shell. Radio frequency allocation and licensing differ between the UAE, India and every other country, so confirm what you are allowed to transmit on before you buy. Tell us the helmets you use, the car and how you intend to use the system, then WhatsApp us on +971 50 308 5760 or send us an inquiry and we will put a working package together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with my helmet and my car?
Tell us the make and model of helmet, whether it is full face or open face, and which car it is going in. Helmet kits are helmet specific and the connector standard has to match the amplifier, so we confirm the combination before you order.

Do you deliver outside the UAE?
Yes. We deliver across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide. Radio equipment can be subject to import and licensing rules at the destination, so tell us where it is going.

Is this equipment in stock?
Amplifiers, cables and accessories are often held in ready stock. Helmet kits and radio sets are usually sourced to order, with the lead time confirmed before payment.

Are these genuine products?
Yes. We supply genuine communication equipment from established motorsport manufacturers and never copies, so that connectors, microphones and spares match properly and remain available later.

I need a part that is not listed here.
Tell us what it is. send us an inquiry with the amplifier or radio you are running, the helmet type and the car, and we will source the matching part and confirm price and lead time.

Not seeing the intercom or radio part you need on this page? We can source almost any race communication item for your car. WhatsApp us on +971 50 308 5760 or send us an inquiry with the part and the car it is for, and we will come back with a price and a lead time.
