Flywheels

Flywheels for Supercars and Performance Cars

The flywheel bolts to the end of the crankshaft and does three jobs at once. It gives the clutch a machined friction face to clamp against, it carries the starter ring gear and usually the trigger teeth the engine management reads, and its mass smooths out the firing pulses of the engine. That last part is where the choices live, because a heavier flywheel makes a car easy to pull away in and calm at low speed, while a lighter one lets the engine rev and blip more freely. Flywheels are replaced when the friction face is worn or heat damaged, when a dual mass unit has lost its damping, or as a deliberate upgrade alongside a clutch. We supply flywheels for supercars and performance cars used on the road and on track, and we deliver across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide.

What This Collection Covers

  • Dual mass flywheels: original format replacements with a sprung damping stage that isolates driveline shock and keeps the car quiet and smooth.
  • Single mass flywheels: solid replacements that remove the damping stage in favour of durability and a more direct feel, with more driveline noise.
  • Lightweight and billet flywheels: machined steel and aluminium units that cut rotating mass so the engine picks up and drops revs faster.
  • Multi plate clutch flywheels: flywheels designed to take twin and triple plate assemblies, with the correct register and drive lugs.
  • Replaceable friction inserts: bolt in friction faces that let a flywheel be refreshed rather than replaced when the surface is worn.
  • Starter ring gears: replacement ring gears and trigger rings where the teeth are damaged or the sensor pattern needs restoring.
  • Flywheel bolts and dowels: the correct stretch bolts, dowels and locating hardware, which are normally single use items.

Why Upgrade Your Flywheel

Two different reasons bring people here. The first is condition. A dual mass flywheel that has done a lot of miles rattles at idle, knocks on shutdown and can develop noticeable play between the two halves, and once the damping is gone it passes shock straight into the gearbox. A scored or heat spotted friction face will chew through a new clutch disc. The second reason is feel. Taking rotating mass out of the flywheel makes the engine noticeably keener to rev and quicker to drop revs between shifts, which flatters heel and toe downshifts and sharpens the whole car. It is not a free upgrade, though. Less mass means less help pulling away from a standstill and more transmission noise at idle and low speed, which is exactly the sort of thing that suits a track car and annoys someone in daily traffic.

How to Choose the Right Flywheel

Decide first whether you are servicing or changing character. If the car is a road car or a grand tourer and you want it to behave the way the factory intended, replace like for like, keeping the dual mass unit if that is what it came with. If the car is driven hard, sees track days, or is running an uprated clutch, a single mass or lightweight unit is usually the better long term answer and pairs sensibly with a stiffer clutch. Race builds go as light as the assembly and the regulations allow. Whichever route you take, the flywheel has to match the clutch assembly, the ring gear tooth count and the crankshaft flange, and on many cars the trigger pattern has to be correct or the engine will not run properly. We deliver across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide. Standard replacement flywheels are sometimes in ready stock, while lightweight, billet and multi plate units are usually machined to order. Where an item is sourced, we confirm the lead time with you before payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which cars do these flywheels fit?
Flywheels are model specific. Send us the make, model, year, variant and the clutch assembly you are running, and we will confirm the correct unit including the ring gear and trigger pattern.

Do you deliver to Dubai, India and worldwide?
Yes. We deliver across Dubai and the UAE, to India, and worldwide, with tracked shipping on every order.

Are flywheels in stock or made to order?
Both. Service replacements can be in ready stock, and lightweight or billet units are commonly produced to order with a confirmed lead time.

Are these genuine parts?
Yes. We supply genuine parts from established manufacturers, both original equipment quality flywheels and recognised performance drivetrain specialists.

What if the flywheel I want is not listed?
Not every application is on the page yet. Send us an inquiry with the car and the specification you are after and we will source it.

Cannot see the flywheel you are looking for? We can source almost any flywheel or clutch related part for your car. WhatsApp us on +971 50 308 5760 or send us an inquiry with the part and the car it is for, and we will come back with a price and a lead time.
