Why It Matters

Fuel lives under pressure in an engine bay that gets hot, and the small parts are what keep it contained. Hose has to be rated for the fuel being run, and for the pressure at that point in the system, since a low pressure return line hose is not suitable on a high pressure feed. Fittings need to match the thread standard actually used on your car rather than the one that looks similar.
